This site is my place to collect stories, memories, projects, diary notes, and the day-to-day pieces of life that feel worth keeping.

Admiralper started as a nickname with a story behind it. When I was young, my father worked for the city of Omaha, Nebraska. My brothers and I received certificates from the city mayor and the governor naming us Admirals of the State of Nebraska.

It may not make me an admiral in the usual sense, but it has been a conversation piece for a long time. I still say that when the east side of the United States falls away from the Mississippi River and Omaha becomes a Navy station, I want my back pay.
